E la Carte, the maker of a consumer-facing tablet for the restaurant and hospitality industry, said today that it has scored $4M in a funding round from
Lightbank, the venture capital arm of
Groupon founders Eric Lefkofsky and Brad Keywell. E la Carte makes the Presto, which allows guests to order, play games, and pay for food from their seats. The firm was founded in 2008, and was spun out of MIT. The firm says it already counts chains like Pizzeria Venti and Umami Burger as customers, and has close to 100 eateries using its products.
