DataStax Piles Up $11M For Analytics and Data Software
Burlingame-based DataStax said Wednesday that it has raised $11M in a Series B financing round, for its efforts for a commercial version of Apache Cassandra. The funding came from new investor Crosslink Capital, along with prior investor Lightspeed Venture Partners. Apache Cassandra is used for data mining, including both real time and other analytics databases. Eric Chin of Crosslink Capital joins the company's board as part of the funding round.
