DataStax Digs Up $25M More
San Mateo-based DataStax, a developer of enterprise, "big data" software, said today that it has raised $25M in a Series C funding round. The round was led by Meritech Capital Partners, and also included prior investors Lightspeed Venture Partners and Crosslink Capital. DataStax said the funding will go towards its platform and to acquire customers. DataStax is led by Billy Bosworth; the firm's products are based on Apache Cassandra, the open source NoSQL database.
