Katango Acquired By Google
Katango, a developer of social networking software backed by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, has been acquired by Google, the firm announced Thursday. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Katango--whose software auto-sorted users Facebook contacts into intelligently bucketed lists based on shared interests--said its product will become part of Google+ and its Circles.
