San Francisco-based
Plum District, an online deals site focused on moms, said this morning that it has raised $20M in a Series C funding round. The round was led by General Catalyst Partners, and also included Comcast Ventures, Duke University, and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Plum District also said that it has acquired Chatterfly and DodleDeals. Chatterfly is a provider of mobile loyalty programs, and DoodleDeals is a site offering discounts to parents on kids products and services. Financial terms of those deals were not disclosed. As part of the funding, Raul Vazquez, former President and CEO of Walmart.com, Amy Banse, Comcast Ventures, and Neil Sequeira of General Catalyst all join the company's board. Plum District is headed by Megan Gardner, and has now raised $30M.
