Ignite Game Technologies Wins $5M
San Francisco-based Ignite Game Technologies, the developer of racing games, said today that it has raised $5M in Series C funding, bringing its total raised to $17.5M. The firm--which debuted its first title, Simraceway, in November--said the funding came from both new and existing investors. Names of the new investors were not disclosed. The firm said it has added Dave Marrs to its board as part of the funding. Ignite is headed by Jonathan Haswell, and is trying to create an extremely realistic, immersive auto racing game, complete with a steering wheel.
