Self Aware Games Acquired By Big Fish Games
Oakland-based Self Aware Games, the developer of the mobile game titles Fleck, Card Ace: Casino, and Taxiball, has been acquired by Big Fish Games. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Big Fish acquired by Self Aware and parent firm Social Concepts, which employed 25 people in Oakland. The acquisition creates the first, Bay Area office for casual game developer Big Fish. Social Concepts was founded by Colin Liotta and Seppo Helava.
