Badgeville, the developer of web site gamification software, is expanding into the mobile market, saying yesterday that it has launched a Software Development Kit (SDK) for both iOS and Android devices. The firm--which helps developers encourage interaction with their sites by promoting badges, contests, and other social features--said the SDK allows mobile developers include similar, gamification features on their mobile and tablet applications. Badgeville said that customers such as Deloitte, Apontador, Menuism, George Mobile and BAMM.tv have already implemented the SDK in their own mobile paps. Badgevile is headed by Kris Duggan, and backed by Norwest Venture Partners, El Dorado Ventures, Trinity Ventures and the Webb Investment Network.
