San Francisco-based
Pivotal Labs, the developer of agile software development tools headed by Rob Mee, has been acquired by data storage giant
EMC, EMC said Tuesday afternoon. Financial terms of the all-cash deal were not announced. According to EMC, the firm plans to expand and invest in Pivotal's agile consulting services. Pivotal Labs was founded in 1989, and its customers include companies such as Twitter, Groupon, Salesforce.com, and Best Buy.
