Pivotal Funding Figure Grows To $653M
The giant, $253M funding round for San Francisco-based Pivotal turns out to be worth more like $653M, if you include the debt-to-equity conversion of $400M from EMC, it emerged today, after regulatory filings by Pivotal. Pivotal had announced $253M in funding via a Series C investment from Ford and Microsoft last week. Pivotal is a spinout of EMC and VMware. The new details on the funding emerged this morning. Pivotal is a developer of Agile development software.
