Cisco Completes Lightwire Buy
San Jose-based Cisco has completed its acquisition of Lightwire, the developer of optical interconnects for the networking industry, the firm said earlier this week. The deal was worth $271M in cash plus retention for Lightwire, which had been headquartered in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Lightwire becomes part of Cisco's Transceiver Modulkes Group Business Unit and Supply Chain Operations Group.
