Oracle Acquires Collective Intellect
Redwood Shores-based Oracle is continuing to sharpen its social media and marketing offerings, saying Tuesday morning that it has acquired Collective Intellect, a developer of cloud-based, social intelligence software which helps companies monitor and respond to consumers on social media sites like Twitter and Facebook. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Oracle said the buy will be combined with Vitrue, the social media marketing firm Oracle announced it acquired on May 23rd. Collective Intellect was venture backed by Appian Ventures, Crawley Hatfield Capital, Croghan Investments, and Grotech Capital Group and was based in Boulder, Colorado.
