Google Buys Quickoffice
Mountain View-based Google has acquired a developer of mobile document viewing and editing tools, Quickoffice, Quickoffice said Tuesday. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. QuickOffice makes software for both Android and iOS which allows users to view and edit common office document formats. Quickoffice was venture backed by Access Industries, Advantage Capital Partners, Mayfield, Shea Ventures, and Shepherd Ventures.
