Solar Mosaic Gets $2M From DOE For Crowdfunding Solar

Solar Mosaic
said Wednesday that it has received a $2M grant from the Department of Energy, to go towards the development of its online, crowdfunding platform for solar power projects. The firm, which is led by Billy Parish, has created an online site which allows Americans to finance solar projects in their community. Solar Mosaic said it will use the $2M in funding from the DOE, plus another $2.5M in a Series A round from venture capitalists, to build up its service.
