The Climate Corporation, a provider of weather insurance services, said today that it has raised $50M in a new financing round. The funding was led by new investor
Founders Fund, and also included prior investors
Khosla Ventures,
Google Ventures, NEA,
Index Ventures,
Atomico, Glynn Capital, and
Western Technology Investment. The company said the funds would go to hire more than 50 researchers, data scientists, and software engineers for its team. The Climate Corporation is applying software and technology to price weather insurance for farmers. The CEO of The Climate Corporation is
