The Climate Corporation Buys VitalFields
San Francisco-based The Climate Corporation, a subsidiary of Monsanto Company, said it has acquired European farm management software developer VitalFields on Monday. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. VitalFields was based in Tallin, Estonia, and was founded in 2011. The company's software is used by farmers to manage and analyze their field activities and crops. The Climate Corporation is led by Mike Stern.
