Navigenics Acquired By Life Technologies
San Francisco-based personalized DNA and genetics testing firm Navigenics has been acquired by Life Technologies, a developer of life sciences equipment. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Navigenics was venture backed by Kleiner Perkins Caulfield and Byers, Mohr Davidow Ventures, and The Procter & Gamble Company. Life Technologies said the acquisition will provide it with a CLIA-certified laboratory for design and validation of new diagnostic assays for the company.
