Synopsys Buys Extreme DA
Mountain View-based Synopsys announced this morning that it has acquired Extreme DA, a developer of software used to improve integrated circuit design performance, power consumption, and manufacturing yields. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Synopsys said the acquisition close on October 6th. Extreme DA was venture backed by Foundation Capital, IT-Farm Corporation, and Lanzatech Ventures, and had been founded in December of 2003.
