, a developer of software for managing and monitoring performance in physical, virtual, and cloud computing environments, has raised $27.5M. The Series D funding round was co-led by Next World Capital and General Catalyst Partners, and also included prior investor Lightspeed Venture Partners. Virtual Instruments said the funding will go towards product development and market expansion. The company's products include instrumentation into storage area network (SAN) components and virtual servers.
