Skyfire Adds $10M In Series D Funding
Mountain View-based Skyfire has added $10M more to its warchest, through a Series D funding today, the company said. Skyfire develops software used to optimize the delivery of video to mobile phones. The new funding was led by Panorama Capital, and also includes prior investors Verizon Ventures, Matrix Partners, Trinity Ventures, and Lightspeed Venture Partners. The firm said the new funding will go towards sales and marketing, particularly for "aggressive" expansion within Europe and into Asia. Skyfire is led by Jeff Glueck. The firm was originally focused on developing mobile browsers.
