SnapVolumes Launches With $2.3M In Seed Funding
Los Altos-based SnapVolumes said it has emerged from stealth mode, and raised $2.3M in a seed funding round. The firm said it has developed software to manage and deploy applications on virtual desktops, servers, and the cloud, and was founded by Matthew Conover, Shaun Coleman and Matthieu Suiche. The funding came from TiE Angels of Silicon Valley, Kumar Malavalli (Brocade), Sanjog Gad (SAP Labs), and Rob Thomas (Infoblox), along with other angels. SnapVolumes is lead by Raj Parekh, who formerly was CEO of Virident and was CTO and VP Engineering at Sun Microsystems.
