Cisco Sells Linksys To Belkin
Cisco has just unloaded its Home Networking Business Unit--which sells the Linksys brand of home networking and wireless routing equipment--to computer accesories maker Belkin, Belkin announced Thursday. Financial terms of the sale were not disclosed. Belkin said it would use the Linksys brand to help bolster its position in the home networking market. Cisco had acquired Linksys in 2003 for $500M.
