Solta Medical Buys Sound Surgical Technologies
Hayward-based Solta Medical, which develops medical aesthetics products, has acquired SOund Surgical Technologies, in a deal worth $25.5M in stock, $5.0M in cash, plus up to $9.5M in earnout. Sound Surgical Technologies develops surgical and non-invasive body shaping products, including ultrasound-based liposuction products. Solta Medical said that Sound Durgical had unauditied revenue for the year ending December 31st to approximately $23M.
