Palo Alto-based
Ravello Systems, which develops its own cloud application environment allowing virtual applications to run across multiple, different cloud providers, has raised $26M in a funding round. The round came from Sequoia Capital, Norwest Venture Partners, and Bessemer Venture Partners. Ravello's infrastructure-as-a-service is targeted at enterprises who want to run their cloud-based applications much as they run their internal, virtual machines. The firm said it supports Amazon AWS, Rackspace, and HP Cloud.
