Google Sells Back Frommers Brand, After Pulling Plug On Publishing
Fans of the non-digital, paperback Frommers will be relieved to hear that Arthur Frommer, the travel guru behind the books, has re-acquired the rights to his travel brand from Google. The deal was first reported by the Associated Press. Google had planned to stop publishing the paper versions of the books, after acquiring the Frommers brand from Wiley last year. Financial details of the buy were not disclosed, and Google did not comment on the sale.
