San Francisco-based
Plain Villa Corp., which develops a series of quiz-based mobile games, has raised $2.4M in a Series A funding, the firm said today. The funding was led by
Greycroft Partners, Tencent, IDG ventures and BOLDStart Ventures, and also included angels CrunchFund, Mesa Global,
David Helgason (Unity3D) and Brandon J. Beck (Riot Games). The firm said the funding brings its to a total of $3.6M. Plain vanilla's lead titles are the QuizUp social trivia games. the firm is led by thor Fridriksson.
