Apigee Gets Backing From In-Q-Tel
Santa Clara-based Apigee, which develops technology to help developers and companies with their application programming interfaces (APIs), has scored backing from In-Q-Tel, the venture capital arm of the U.S. intelligence community. Financial details of the investment were not disclosed. According to Apigee, it is in a strategic partnership and technology development agreement with IN-Q-Tel. Apigee said the funds will help the intelligence community improve capabilities for sharing data and services through apps, and go towards development of its platform. In-Q-Tel is the investment arm of the CIA.
