Newsle Nabs $1.65M For Social News Software
San Francisco-based news discovery software developer Newsle has raised $1.65M in a funding round. The funding came from Advance Publications Inc., Maveron, DFJ,Transmedia Capital, Launny Steffens, and pRockwell Schnabel. Whitney Shaw, president of American City Business Journals, joins the firm's board with the funding. Newsle is developing software which trolls through professional connections (LinkedIn, Facebook) and helps surface news and information related to your contacts.
