LinkedIn Buys Newsle
Mountain View-based LinkedIn said this morning it has acquired Newsle, a startup which uses natural language processing and machine learning to identify articles about a users' contacts. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. LinkedIn said it will combined Newsle's technology with its core offerings. Newsle was backed by Advance Publications Inc., Maveron, DFJ,Transmedia Capital, and angels. Newsle was based in San Francisco.
