Zyomyx Taps Into $12M For HIV Testing
Fremont-based Zyomyx, a developer of portable, medical diagnostics platforms initially aimed at HIV/AIDs, has raised $12M in a Series 2 funding. The firm said the funding was led by Mylan, and also included conversion of funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Zyomyx said the funding comes as part of a distribution agreement with Mylan. The company said the funds go towards initial regulatory approvals and production capacity for its initial product.
