Matterport Raises $2.8M For 3D Capture
Mountain View-based Matterport, the developer of 3D capture technology for capturing and creating cloud-based, 3D models of interior spaces, has raised $2.8M in a Series A-1 funding. The company said the funding came from Gordon Segal, the founder of Crate & Barrell, Blake Krikorian, co-founder of Sling Media, as well as prior investors Lux Capital, Felicis Ventures, Greylock Partners, Navitas Capital, Qualcomm Ventures, Red Swan Ventures, and Rothenberg Ventures. Matterport is led by matt Bell, and came out of Y-Combinator.
