Matterport, a developer of 3D scanning technology which helps people create 3D models of rooms and interiors, has raised $16M more in a Series B funding round. The funding came from DCM Ventures and AME Cloud Ventures along with Lux Capital, Felicis Ventures, Greylock Partners, Navitas Capital, AMD Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures, Rothenberg Ventures, plus Blake Krikorian (Sling Media) and Gordon Segal (Crate & Barrel). Matterport's products help create photo-realistic, dimensionally accurate models of real-world spaces, and include a $4,500 camera aimed specifically at ral estate photographers, property management companies, or brokerages.
