NextBio Acquired By Illumina
Santa Clara-based NextBio, a developer of big data platforms for the clinical and genomic information market, has been acquired by life sciences equipment giant Illumina. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Illumina said that NextBio will become part of a new Enterprise Informatics business unit at the company. NextBio had been backed by Newbury Ventures.
