Postmates Lands $16M For Delivery Service
San Francisco-based Postmates, which provides on-demand delivery of products from local businesses, has raised $16M in a Series B funding, the company said Tuesday. The company said the funding was led by Spark Capital, and also included existing investors. Spark's Nabeel Hyatt joins the company's board with the funding. Postmates lets users buy almost anything from local businesses using its mobile app, and allows local couriers to quickly and efficiently deliver those products in under an hour.
