VOltDB, a developer of an in-memory, high speed SQL database which has its operations split between Santa Clara and Bedford, Mass., said Monday that it has raised $8M in a funding round. The round included Sigma Partners and Kepha Partners, along with other, un-named investors. VoltDB's high speed, in-memory databases are used for online advertising, enteprise apps, and other areas which require real-time and transactions. VoltDB is led by Bruce Reading.
