Fauna Finds $4.5M For Scalable Databases
San Francisco-based Fauna, a startup developing scalable databases, has raised $4.5M in a seed funding, the company said today. The funding came from Charles River Ventures, along with Data Collective, Quest VP, the Webb Investment Network, and Ulu Ventures, plus angels Scott McNealy (SUN Microsystems), Olivier Pomel (DataDog), and others. Fauna is led by Evan Weaver. Fauna was founded in 2012, and its founders were engineers at Twitter.
