Tango Snags $280M For Text, Video Messaging
Bolstered by the huge acquisition of WhatsApp in February, another, text and video messaging app developer--Tango--has snagged a big round of funding. Tango said Thursday that it has raised $280M in a new funding round, led by Alibaba Group. The funding reportedly values the company at around $1 billion. Michael Zeisser from Alibaba will join the company's Board of Directors with the funding.
