Vend Gets $20M For iPad POS Software
San Francisco-based Vend, a developer of cloud-based, point-of-sale (POS) software which runs on the iPad, said last week that it has raised $20M more in capital. The funding came from PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel, via Valar Ventures, as well as from Square Peg Capital. Vend said the new funding will go to expand its presence in North America. Vend is led by Vaughan Rowsell. The company started in New Zealand.
