Twist Bioscience Gets $26M
San Francisco-based Twist Bioscience has raised $26M in a Series B financing, the company announced today, to go towards its semiconductor-based, synthetic DNA manufacturing technology. The funding was led by Nick and Joby Pritzker, through their family office, Tao Invest. Other investors also included ARCH Venture Partners, Paladin Capital Group, Yuri Milner and un-named strategic investors. The company also said it has received a $5.1M DARPA contract to help fund its technology platform.
