Urban Remedy Gets $5M
San Rafael-based Urban Remedy, a maker of premium juice "cleanses" which is endorsed by Cindy Crawford, said today that it has raised $5M in a Series A funding. The company said the funding came from Venture51, and will go towards scaling its manufacturing, incresaing marketing, and expanding nationwide storefronts. As part of the funding, Urban Remedy added Paul Colleta (Jamba Juice, POM Wonderful) as CEO. The company also is backed by Science Inc.
