Zuli Finds $1.65M For Bluetooth Enabled, Beacon-like Smart Outlets
San Francisco-based Zuli, a developer of Bluetooth-enabled, smart power outlets which turn on when you are nearby, said today that it has raised $1.65M in a seed funding round. According to the firm, Menlo Ventures, Winklevoss Capital, Logitech, DeNA, XG Ventures, FreedomPop CEO Stephen Stokols, and Hossein Eslambolchi, former CTO of AT&T, all participated in the funding. Zuli's Bluetooth-enabled devices keep tabs on a user, turning lights and other electronics on when a user is in a specific location, such as a bedroom, living room, bathroom, or kitchen.
