Vicarious Finds $12M For Robotics AI
Union City-based Vicarious, a developer of artificial intelligence algorithms for robots and machines, has raised $12M in a funding round, the company disclosed this week. The funding was led by ABB, and also included Good Ventures, Founders Fund, and Open Field Capital. Vicarious--which also has seen funding from Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos--is currently focused on vision recognition. ABB says that Vicarious is looking to bringing "human intelligence" to machines.
