Silicon Image Acquired By Lattice Semiconductor In $600M Deal
Sunnyvale-based Silicon Image (SIMG) and Oregon-based Lattice Semiconductor (LSCC) said this morning that the two companies have reached a deal, where Lattice will acquire Silicon Image for approximately $600M. Lattice will pay $7.30 per share for Silicon Image. The companies said the deal is a premium of 34.6 percent over Silicon Image's average closing price over the last 90 trading days. Both companies are publicly traded on the NASDAQ. Both companies develop wireless and other semiconductors widely used in consumer electronics equipment.
