San Francisco-based
Philz Coffee, the operator of the popular Bay Area coffee chain, said Wednesday that it has raised $15M to expand the chain to the rest of the country. Philz Coffee said the funding came from Cowboy Ventures, Crunchfund, Maynard Web, Snoop Dog, along with such angels as Mike Schroepfer, Ron Johnson, Jonah Hill, Lawrence Bender, and Jamie Kennedy. The company said it plans to open at least ten more locations nationwide this year.
