3D Robotics Raises $50M For Drone Aircraft Technology
Berkeley-based 3D Robotics, the unmanned aerial vehicle maker led by former Wired editor Chris Anderson, said today that it has raised $50M in a Series C venture funding round. The funding was led by Qualcomm Ventures, and also includes a strategic deal to use Qualcomm's Snapdragon processors. 3D Robotics sells its own line of drone aricraft, plus also makes its drone technology available via open source on DIY Drones.
