Trimble Buys Fifth Element
Sunnyvale-based Trimble has gobbled up another firm, saying this morning that it has acquired Fifth Element, a provider of enterprise and mobile software for the forestry industry. Fifth Element was based in Espoo, Finland, and offered up forestry logistics and harvest operations software. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
