San Francisco-based
Petcube, the developer of a gadget which lets people watch and interact with their pets via iOS and Android applications, said Tuesday that it has raised $1.1M in a seed funding round. The funding was led by AVentures Capital and Almaz Capital, and also included SOSVentures, David Michaels (Mint.com), and Nick Bilogorskiy (Facebook). The company said it will use the funding to expand its sales into brick-and-mortar retail stores. The company makes the Petcume Camera, which lets people talk to their pets and manipulate a laser pointer, all while watching their pet remotely via the Internet.
