Hedvig Lands $12.5M For Data Storage Software
Santa Clara-based Hedvig, which was founded by Cassandra creator Avinash Lakshman, has raised $12.5M in a funding round, the company said today. The funding--which includes both seed and Series A investments--came from True Ventures and Atlantic Bridge, along with Redpoint Ventures. Lakshman was prevoiusly at Amazon, and was a co-investor of the NoSQL software Amazon Dynamo; he also was an early employee at Facebook, where he worked on Apache Cassandra.
