GigaOm Acquired By Knowingly
Defunct San Francisco-based online news site Gigaom has been acquired by Austin, Texas-based Knowingly, in an asset purchase deal, the two said Tuesday. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. The two said the deal includes both the Gigaom website and its content library. Knowingly said it will relaunch Gigaom in August. Gigaom had been seized by its creditors and shut down in March.
