Avast Software Buys Remotium
Redwood City-based Avast, which develops PC and mobile security software, said Wednesday that it has acquired Remotium, a developer of enterprise mobility software. Remotium is based in San Mateo. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. Avast said that the entire Remotium team will join the company. Remotium provides its software for the bring-your-own (BYOD) enterprise market.
